State Reopening Metrics

Districts & Schools may reopen in hybrid or on-site learning models, as outlined in their Ready Schools Safe Learners blueprint when:

  • The statewide 7-day test positivity rate been ≤ 5% for the previous three weeks.

  • The county* 7-day test positivity rate been ≤ 5% for the previous three weeks.

In an exception, K-3 may open in Hybrid or on-site learning models as outlined in their Ready Schools Safe Learners blueprint when:

  • There zero active cases in your school community.

AND

  • The county 7-day case rate has been ≤ 30 cases per 100,000 population for the previous three weeks.

AND

  • The county 7-day test positivity rate has been ≤ 5% for the previous three weeks.

AND

  • The school is prepared to fully comply with sections #1-3 of the Read Schools Safe Learners guidance.
