Thank you Field Day Volunteers! - A huge thank you to yesterday’s field day volunteers - Katherine Donlon, Naomi Friedman, Naomi Kramer, Nan McNatt, Amy England, Katie Cave, Katie Ebbage, Bill Heyn, Caroline Madigan, Samantha Windred, Andrea Skehan, Robyn Suzumara, Kris Evens, Jenny Noyce, Arthur Burridge, and Matt Trent. They braved the 99 degree afternoon to run fun stations for the kids all afternoon. And thank you to PE teacher Dan Trent for all your work!

Thank you Rummage Sale Volunteers - Thank you Lily Leitermann and Jen & John Boita for leading Ridgeline’s annual rummage sale again this year! We know you put in hours and hours of work. Thank you to all the volunteers who came and sorted donations, hung signs, and worked the day of the sale.  

Board Meeting Next Thursday (6/20) - The Ridgeline Board of Directors will have it’s final meeting of the 2018-19 school year next Thursday evening (June 20th) from 6:30-8:30 pm in the school library. Among items on the agenda are final budget allocations for the 2018-19 school year, approval of Montessori training agreements, the board’s annual self-evaluation, approval of summer facilities work contracts, and the 2019-20 fundraising plan. The agenda will be finalized early next week and once it is, it will be posted here. Board meetings are open to the public, except when an executive session is indicated on the agenda.


Fundraising Update -  Congratulations everyone on another successful year of fundraising!  As of Wednesday June 12, we have raised a total of $101,934.26, and we're still waiting to receive two checks from recent restaurant fundraisers!  Our Rummage Sale raised $1,100 - a big thank you to everyone who volunteered for that!


More details about next year's fundraising calendar will be sent out in August.  For now, please go ahead and put Sunday, August 25 on your calendars for a proceed fundraiser at Falling Sky Deli!  Come enjoy brunch, celebrate Maria Montessori's birthday (a few days early) and enjoy a late summer get-together with school friends!

CONTINUING NEWS -

Have You Moved? - If you have moved during the school year please update your address before summer break so that you will receive the back to school packet. In order to update your address we need two proofs of address - 1. Current rental/lease agreement, property tax bill, or mortgage statement AND 2. documents dated within 60 days from: utility company, financial institution (bank or credit card), insurance company, government agency, paycheck information.

Approved Calendar - Site Council has approved Ridgeline’s 2019-20 calendar. You can view the calendar here. Hazardous weather make-up days are listed in the order they will be used, provided weather related school closures take place prior to that date. The following no school days may be used as weather make-up days: January 6, February 17, March 30, May 1, June 11, June 12, and June 15-19. Please do not plan family holidays for these dates in case they revert to school days. As always, we encourage you to refer to the google calendar regularly as event planning is ongoing and parent education nights, RCO events, field trips, etc. are added to the calendar as they are planned.

Sign-Up for Room Parent Emails - sign-up to receive email updates from the room parent in your child’s class next year. Parents are asked to send an email to the room parent emails in order to opt in to receive classroom announcements, which might include summer park get togethers! Sign up today so you don’t miss out on any communications.

PLEASE Log Your Hours - Please take time to log your volunteer hours if you are not currently up to date. Accurate volunteer hours are important as it shows community support for the school. Volunteer hours are reported in grant applications and to our sponsoring district as part of our annual review. We greatly appreciate you sharing your valuable time and we really want to report it accurately!

Supply Fee 2019-20 PAST DUE –  There are still many outstanding supply fees. The fee is $75 per student. Please make checks out to Ridgeline Montessori and drop them off in the office or pay online by clicking HERE. For bookkeeping purposes we need either the fee or a financial aid form. Financial assistance forms are also available in the lobby or online.

Oak Hill School's Summer Programs - Our programs are for everyone including Talented and Gifted (TAG) students. Summer isn’t too far off and it’s time for families to start planning their summer camps.  

 

We offer 4 unique summer programs:

  • Super Summer has challenging classes and activities for TAG/gifted student who have completed K-7th grades (2018-2019 school year).

  • Summer Enrichment Program (SEP) is a residential academic experience, for TAG/gifted students who have completed grades 6-11, located at the University of Oregon.

  • International Youth Enrichment Program (IYEP) is a residential academic experience specifically designed for international students who have completed grades 6-11, also located at the University of Oregon.

  • Summer on the Hill is a learning and recreational opportunities for all youth who have completed grades k-12



Guitar and Ukulele Summer Lessons- Amelia is now taking new students for private lessons this summer! Individual, parent/child, and sibling lessons are available.
