Spring Forward - Remember to set your clocks forward one hour this Sunday at 2 a.m. for Daylight Savings. 


Ongoing Prevention Efforts - Ridgeline has implemented additional measures to help reduce the spread of germs.  Students have been instructed on proper handwashing and systems have been put in place to support that all important practice.  Additional cleaning measures have been implemented including some changes to practical life work, student jobs, Ridgeline staff cleaning at the end of the day and more cleaning by custodial staffing.  


Please help us in our efforts by keeping your child home if they have a fever of 100.0 or higher, have recently vomited, have a terrible productive cough, or if they feel so ill that they are unable to participate in classroom work and activities.


RCO Needs Your Books! For this year's Book Swap on March 14, we are looking for donations of pre-k through young adult novels. Please bring your books to the box located near the Little Library between the buildings prior to the day of the event, or make arrangements with a member of the RCO by contacting


Floating Assistant Position - In an effort to prepare for additional staffing needs next year and allow time for cross-training, we are seeking a floating assistant to join us this school year.  The position will be posted in the coming week. Please watch for the posting and help spread the word about this great opportunity to join Ridgeline and support our students.


Does Your Family Have a Love of Literature? Join us for a Book Swap on Saturday, March 14 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.! Come in your coziest jammies, pick out a few new books, and settle in for a chapter or two in the gymnasium. Specially baked, literary-themed baked goods will be available to snack on, as well as coffee, tea, and hot cocoa. There will also be readers, including students, parents, and maybe Ridgeline staff reading from their favorite books throughout the day. If you are interested in volunteering for the event (set up, clean up, reader, baker), sign up on Track It Forward or inquire with Cynthia in the office. 



Direct Donation Drive Update - Tomorrow, March 6 marks our half-way point in this year's Direct Donation Drive.  As of March 5, 2020 we have raised a total of $7,210.70 toward our $20,000 goal. 


Over the past two weeks we have been highlighting on Facebook some of the many CONNECTIONS with our Specialists and Classroom Materials that your donations to Ridgeline support.  If you missed them, you can find a recap here and here.


If you have not yet made your DDD donation, now is a great time to do so.  Online donations can be made here ( and donations via check or cash can be dropped off at the front office.  


Gifts of all sizes help us get closer to reaching our goal and receiving the $10,000 challenge grant!  


Extreme Lost and Found - There are currently many coats on the lost and found cart which is located in the corner of the lobby. Please stop in to see if any of the items belong to your child(ren). 


PLEASE Pull Forward - Remember to pull all the way forward when using the drop off circle. It takes a village to drop off a child on time and if you stop at the corner by building B or smack in front of the building A doors then all those cars behind you are trapped, waiting to drop off their kids too and it gets closer and closer to tardy time. If everyone pulls all the way forward as close as they can to the exit driveway, then there is room for many more vehicles. 


Update from your Board -The board is continuing to plan for the 2020-21 budget season. With an expected increase in funding next year, the board is responsible for providing guidance to the school's budget committee, which will convene in April. Right now, the board is prioritizing improving compensation and/or providing in-house Montessori expertise for our teaching teams next year. The board is also investigating what it would take to restart Ridgeline's lunch program not only in terms of money, but also in terms of volunteer and professional staffing, facilities improvements, equipment, scheduling, and contracting. You can access board meeting materials and approved board minutes from our January and February meetings to follow the board's ongoing conversations. The board wants to hear from you. Crossing Guard Needed Wednesday Afternoons - We are down to one opening folks on the crossing guard schedule! Please sign up here to volunteer Wednesday afternoons.

Nearby Nature Summer Daycamps Open for Registration: If your kids enjoy exploring, biking, bug catching, treasure hunting, and other fun nature adventures, then they should participate in Nearby Nature's outdoor summer daycamps! Nearby Nature’s camps are a unique medley of adventure, science, nature, art, play, and gardening. Most take place in Alton Baker Park, in our unique Learnscape Gardens. Daycamps run from June 15-August 28, last one week each, and serve kids from 3 to 13 years old. Half and full day options are available and enrollment is limited to 12 children per camp.
