Pasta Dinner Update - It feels like a month ago at this point, but Pasta Dinner and the DDD kick-off was only seven days ago! A huge thank you to our many helpers, especially the cooks. Thank you to Shannon Overbaugh, Charlie Kelly, Thomas Mele, Jes Feather, and Kate Gillespie for cooking the sauce and pasta out at Winter Green Farm. Thank you to Charlie, Thomas, and Chris Overbaugh for cooking and overseeing the food during the dinner. Thank you to The Bread Stop for donating the delicious bread! Thank you to the bread slicing crew, the salad dressing and herb butter makers, everyone who set up, cleaned up, helped serving, sitting at the DDD table, the pre-dinner ingredient shoppers, and our pot scrubbers! Let’s see if I can remember everyone - Marci, Erica, Geraldine, Sacia, John, Janna, Priscilla, Christine, Tina, Dave, Mandy, Peter, Shula, Jes, Kate, Jen, Kari, Roger, Briony, Katie, Andi, Nancy, Kara, Vid, Nan, Rae, Brian, Idit, Jesse, Jean, Tim, Casey, Ann, Amy, and anyone else I am missing. Thank you to Emily’s class for making the colorful flower centerpieces lead by Bethany and Yaeko. Also, thank you Emerald Valley Quilters for lending us their amazing quilts and to Ann Carney and her neighbor Adam Rateliff from the quilter’s guild for hanging them. The total money received the night of the Pasta Dinner, between dinner and donations was $2,585.39. There are a few expenses still pending.

7th & 8th Grade Enrollment Update - Eugene School District 4J amended Ridgeline’s charter contract on February 20, 2019.  The amendment to the contract allows 7th and 8th grade students who have attended a regular 4J middle school program to apply for enrollment at Ridgeline Montessori.

Do you know a current or soon to be 4J middle school student who may benefit from Ridgeline Montessori Public Charter School?  If so, please share your experience and the following information with their family!

2018-19 Enrollment for 7th & 8th grade

Applications are now being accepted for both 7th and 8th grade students, including those who have attended or are currently attending a regular 4J middle school for the 2018-19 school year. The available spots for 2018-19 will be filled on a first come, first served basis.  Applications are available at the school office or online.

2019-20 Enrollment for 7th & 8th grade

Online applications are now being accepted for the 2019-20 school year for 7th and 8th grade students, including those who have attended or are currently attending a regular 4J middle school.  We will hold a lottery for available spaces, if needed, on April 4th. The deadline for 7th and 8th grade applicants to be included in the lottery is March 21, 2019.

Emergency Preparedness Committee Lead - We are looking for a self-starter volunteer who is passionate and willing to lead a school emergency preparedness committee. There are a couple of parents who have expressed interest in helping on this committee, but they are not able to lead it at this time. Contact Cynthia to volunteer.

Extra Pants, Socks and Shoes! - It certainly is wet and muddy on the playground these days! We encourage you to send your kids to school prepared for outside recess. It would also be great to include extra clothes (including socks and underwear) in their backpacks in case they encounter mud. We are struggling to keep up with the demand to re-clothe wet muddy students and there is nothing better than a kid being able to change into their own clothes that are guaranteed to actually fit. If your student has come home in clothes from school, please wash and return them.

ITEMS STILL OUT THERE! Laminating Project - If you took home pieces of the big math laminating and cutting project and you still have them at home, please return them to the office. We are sorting materials to go to classrooms and it appears that a few items have not been returned.
