eNews 2-8-18

posted Feb 8, 2018, 2:46 PM by Cynthia Friedman

It doesn’t take much, but it does take you! - The DDD is kicking off in just 2 weeks, and we’re looking for a few awesome volunteers to complete our planning puzzle! Can you make a few posters (kits provided!)? Can you stand curbside on the afternoons of Friday 3/2 or Friday 3/23 and look friendly and inviting and donation worthy? Can you take a shift at the DDD table at pasta dinner to accept the mountains of money and answer curious inquiries? If you’ve been telling yourself you should be more involved in fundraising, these are easy opportunities that would help us out a bunch. Click on over to http://signup.com/go/bXLPBzq to sign up!!! Do it right now...don’t wait! (Ok, you can read the rest of this week’s eNews first, but only if you promise to come back to this blurb and sign up!!!)

Food Pantry – We are still in need of granola bars and protein bars for the pantry. Thank you so much for your donation!

LAST CHANCE!!  Ridgeline T-SHIRTS AND SWEATSHIRTS.  Last Chance for this year’s eye catching green with pink lettering t-shirts and pullover hoodies.    Orders are due by February 26. We will not be making exceptions for late orders, so if you want a t-shirt or sweatshirt, please get your order in to the office by February 26.   Order forms will go home with kids and can also be picked up in the office.  Questions?  Email Michelle at michelle.lodwig@ridgeline.org

Fire Extinguisher Serial Number Inventory – We are looking for a volunteer to come into the office and record serial numbers off fire extinguisher and then fill out a form online for us. This will take approximately 1 hour. Contact Cynthia if you are able to help!

Library Shelf Back Maker – Michelle is looking for someone who can make wooden backs for the shelves in the library to prevent the books from getting pushed too far back. For more details, or to volunteer please contact Michelle at michelle.lodwig@ridgeline.org.

Sequential Biofuels generously donates to Ridgeline with every purchase!

When you visit either Sequential Biofuels at 86714 McVay Hwy (off 30th) or 1695 W 18th Ave (corner of Chambers), our kiddos win!  5% of your retail purchase and 5 cents per gallon of gas will be donated to Ridgeline.  It’s very easy, just tell the attendant or cashier that you would like your donation to go to Ridgeline and that’s it!  No saving receipts or taking anything to the office.  And you can ASK your friends, family and neighbors for their donations to go to Ridgeline too.

Terracycle and Box Top Update - We need to collect ten pounds of wrappers before we can send in a box for recycling and get points from Terracycle.  So far his school year we have collected 6 pounds of wrappers. Keep putting those wrappers in the collection box by the office.

Don't forget about saving Box Tops for Education too (found on cereal boxes and Annie's products).  They add up fast!  Thank you.

Fred Meyer Rewards You can help Ridgeline earn donations just by shopping with your Fred Meyer Rewards Card! Fred Meyer is donating $2.5 million per year to nonprofits in Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington, based on where their customers tell them to give. Here’s how the program works:

  • Sign up for the Community Rewards program by linking your Fred Meyer Rewards Card to Ridgeline at https://www.fredmeyer.com/topic/community-rewards-4w. You can search for us by our name or by our nonprofit number, 85857.
  • Then, every time you shop and use your Rewards Card, you are helping Ridgeline earn a donation!
  • You still earn your Rewards Points, Fuel Points, and Rebates, just as you do today.
  • If you do not have a Rewards Card, they are available at the customer service desk of any Fred Meyer store.
