What’s Your Ridgeline Story? - As we prepare for charter renewal we are seeking letters of support to share with the 4J board and district leadership.  What do you love about Ridgeline? How are we positively impacting your child’s life? Please share your story by emailing by November 18. If you missed this week’s email please read the Big Works 2019-20 Issue #6 about Ridgeline’s charter renewal.

Book Fair – Our annual book fair at Barnes and Noble is two weeks away, Friday, November 15!  Please join us at the Barnes and Noble Book Fair to purchase holiday gifts, buy books for classrooms, watch classroom performances, and enjoy a fun evening together.

A percentage of the book fair purchases at Barnes & Noble will go to Ridgeline. This includes friends’ and family purchases at stores around the country! Just give them the book fair ID number 12544110. All purchases need to be made November 15-20. You must tell the cashier you are with our book fair and give the ID number for it to count toward the book fair. Online purchases do count, although the percentage back to Ridgeline is much less.

Features at the book fair this year:

  • Welcome table inside the front door of the bookstore for Ridgeline families to get a book fair schedule and book fair ID sticker. This sticker will assist Barnes & Noble staff in identifying book fair shoppers to ensure that all qualifying purchases count towards our book fair.

  • All performances will be in the area to the right of the entrance.

  • Teachers’ wish list book bins will be in the children’s department, along with the bookmark-making table.

Watch for the performance schedule in next week’s eNews and teacher updates.

Marketplace Proposals are Due - This week Heather Hickcox visited your student's classrooms to talk about our 4th Annual Student Marketplace. All students are welcome to participate. Submissions should be for art, crafts, or talents they can teach such as drawing lessons. We cannot allow for food and drink creations. If your student is interested, please submit a proposal HERE. Please submit proposals by November 7th. If you have questions, please email me at I would love to have 30 or more vendors participating.

Friday Early Releases - Just a reminder that Fridays are early release at 1:05 p.m. Mysteriously there is a parent or two EVERY Friday who forgets it is early release. It is a different parent every week! Staff has meetings Fridays after school that they are trying to get to so prompt pick up is essential.  We encourage you to set an alarm on your phone for Fridays to remind you of the 1:05 p.m. dismissal.

Food Pantry - The food pantry is in desperate need of the following items - granola and protein bars, fruit (apples and oranges that can last in the fridge), yogurt, etc.

Volunteer Opportunities - All-school volunteer opportunities are available on Track it Forward. Click here to check out upcoming volunteer needs! To volunteer in the classroom contact your student’s teacher.

ODE School Report Card Ridgeline showed growth in nearly all areas reported on the at-a-glance school profile released last week by the Oregon Department of Education.  More detailed information about Ridgeline’s results along with information regarding all Oregon school districts and schools are available at
