Middle School Cookie and Popcorn Sales - Cookies and Popcorn sales started last week and happen every Friday from 1:05 till 1:30 outside the gym. Cookies and Popcorn are 50 cents each. Thanks for supporting the middle school adventure trip fund! If you need to assist your student with their purchase please park and walk in (do not use the drive through pick up line).

Jog-a-thon Update - Thank you everyone for your support of the Jog-a-thon! This year's event has been a big success so far. Altogether the kids ran about 670 miles! That's about 3 round-trips to Portland! Everyone who came out did a great job and the kids enjoyed popsicles afterward.

THANK YOU to all of the volunteers who joined us the night before and the day of the event. Having lots of volunteers helped everything go smoothly and made everyone's part a little easier.

The next way you can help with the Jog-a-thon is by helping your kids gather their pledges! This is a vital part of the fundraiser and without it we wouldn't raise any funds. Our deadline for collecting pledges is October 14. Remember to get receipts to your donors if they need one for tax purposes. We are excited to share the total amount raised when we finish collecting pledges! Our fundraising goal for the year is $100,000 and the Jog-a-thon is a significant part of that.

Bike and Walk to School Day Update! - We had another successful Bike and Walk to school day. A big thank you to biking volunteers Jenny Noyce, Salmon Stroich, Jordan Bishko, Sarah Stanely, and Piper Paulish for leading the biking train. Thank you to walking volunteers Annette Leonard, Eli Meyer, Brook Edwards-Meyer, Jennifer Stewart, and Sherri Perkins for walking with students, Andrea Skehan for being a crossing guard, and raffle table volunteers Robyn Suzumura, Trisha King, and Yaeko Rodrigues. It was reported that 35 bikers joined the biking train and a total of 106 kids filled out raffle tickets saying they had biked or walked! We encourage your family to continue to bike and walk to school everyday!

Plan Ahead for After School- Please make every effort to plan your child’s after school plans in advance and review those plans with your child before you drop them off at school. With almost 250 students imagine the interruptions to the classrooms that changing plans midday creates! That being said, we do understand that last minute appointments come up, work meetings, and cars break down causing parents to make last minute changes. If you must change the pick up plans during the school day call the office at 541-681-9662 as early in the day as you can. Only parents can give permission for their child to go home with someone else. DO NOT text the teacher. Cell phones are teacher’s personal devices and are not used during the school day as it distracts from the learning environment. If your child has a complicated pick-up schedule, emailing it to the teacher and the office is helpful. Emails sent prior to the school day are a great way to alert staff to a playdate, early departure, or other out of the ordinary pick occurrences.

Box Tops for Education -

Hi friends,

The Box Tops for Education program is a simple way for us to earn money for Ridgeline. They’re making it even easier for to earn now! Box Tops is going digital! Simply download their app called “Box Tops for Education,” scan your grocery store receipt within 14 days and Ridgeline gets moolah!

But wait! It gets better. While they are slowly phasing out the clipped box tops, there are still lots in production that we can still clip and send in. This means we can get double the payout by clipping Box Tops AND scanning our receipts! So keep your eye out for the Box Tops logos as you ship for groceries and scan those receipts!

Please drop your clipped Box Tops and/or receipts if you prefer not to scan them to the Box Tops container in the lobby. Let’s make some money for Ridgeline!

Thank you,

Marci Davis
