Help Promote Ridgeline! - Ridgeline’s Information Sessions and 2020-2021 lottery are approaching. We need your help to promote Ridgeline and our Information Sessions which will take place this month. Please spread the word about Ridgeline and lottery dates to friends and family!

Lottery information sessions:

Saturday, January 11, 10:00 a.m.

Thursday, January 23, 6:30 p.m.

Applications due: January 31

Lottery: in February

Talent Show – On Friday January 24, from 6-8 p.m., Ridgeline students will rock your socks off! Last year’s event was a great success—we had musical acts, breakdancing droids, and ventriloquism, just to name a few! A volunteer came around before Winter Break and gave the kids talent show guidelines, and a sign-up sheet was posted in each classroom. We will need a volunteer to run lighting. Questions can go to Kate Downing

Food Pantry - The pantry is low! We would greatly appreciate your donations of apples, oranges, granola bars, nuts, yogurt, etc.

Extra Pants - During the wet wintry season please consider adding an extra pair of pants to your child’s school backpack. Oftentimes students get muddy and wet at recess and our “muddy puddle” clothing box does not currently have any smaller sized pants. If your child has borrowed clothes from school please return them laundered to the office. We are also accepting donations of pants, especially sweatpants or leggings that can be worn by a range of sizes.

Event Planners - Are you organized? Do you love to plan parties and events? We need you and your love of planning for upcoming Ridgeline events. There is possibly an auction in the works…Contact Cynthia to learn more!

Slippers – We are approaching that time of the year when students’ slippers may be a bit worn or their toes are hanging out. It is also a time when stores have slippers on clearance. Please check with your student to see whether they need a new pair of slippers (ones that stay on their feet and can be worn outside during fire drills are ideal).

Library Room Monitors & Crossing Guard Needed - We still have openings for both the library room monitor volunteer position and the crossing guard job. Check out days needed here

Winter Weather: Snow Day Information

In the case of inclement weather that would make roads, school parking lots, driveways or sidewalks unsafe for travel, Ridgeline Montessori Public Charter School will be closed when the 4J school district is closed. If Ridgeline is scheduled to be in session, and no announcement is made, school is still in schedule as planned.

Ridgeline Montessori will delay opening when 4J schools are scheduled to open on a delayed schedule.

Ridgeline Montessori Public Charter School may be in session on a day when 4J happens to be already out of session. In this case, Ridgeline Montessori Public Charter School will make the announcement on our website,

Ridgeline Montessori Public Charter School values safety. Neither 4J nor Ridgeline can make a decision based on conditions near individual families or staff. Families and staff are encouraged to consider road and sidewalk conditions in their areas and make decisions based on safety. Ridgeline Montessori honors parents’ decisions about school attendance in these conditions. Staff members should contact the school and exercise leave options available to them when they believe they are unable to get to work safely.

Snow day notifications: Our school district communicates any decision to change school or bus schedules as quickly as possible in several ways, all well before 6:30 a.m.

No news = No change. If schools and buses are on their regular schedule, there will NOT be an announcement.

School Closure = No school for students. Decision about afternoon/evening activities will be made by noon.

Two-Hour Delay: School starts two hours late and ends at the usual school dismissal time. If a delay occurs on an early release Friday, school will still be dismissed at the early release time.
