Chair Volunteers Needed Friday - If you have 15 minutes at dismissal on Friday to help set up chairs for the lottery information session, please come to the gym at 1:05 p.m. Many hands will make this a quick job! Email Cynthia to let her know you can help.

Book Swap - Calling all Book Lovers! This Sunday, January 13, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the RCO is hosting a Book Swap in the Ridgeline Gymnasium. Peruse a selection of FREE books for children and adults; make your own bookmark or comic strip; and cozy up with a new book in the reading area. Treats and drinks will also be available. If you have books to donate, bring them to the office during the school week or bring them to the event on Sunday!

Dickie Jo’s and Dickie Yo’s - Our January restaurant fundraiser is Dickie Jo's and Dickie Yo's! Come reconnect after winter break with friends and have a burger or some frozen yogurt (vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options too)!

Join Ridgeline Montessori at Dickie Jo’s and Dickie Yo’s across from the Valley River Center Mall on Wednesday, January 16th ALL DAY and Thursday, January 17th  ALL DAY. Bring your coupon and Ridgeline will get 25% of your purchase to support Ridgeline.  Dine in or take out!  Get together with your community or take your office to lunch! Coupons will be sent home on Friday.

Conferences - Teachers have set aside this time to meet with you! Please remember to sign up for you conference. Conferences are January 31, and February 1 (no school days)! We are excited to connect with you regarding your student’s progress and will be holding conferences instead of sending out mid-year report cards.  Sign up for a conference time that works for you. Conferences will begin promptly with whomever is present and end at the scheduled time.  Middle school families should refer to teacher updates for additional information.

Shoe Drive Fundraiser - Our Shoe Drive Fundraiser is ON! If you missed yesterday's email with information about this fundraiser you can find all of the documents here

During this fundraiser we will be reporting our progress in terms of bags of shoes. Each bag represents 25 pairs. Thanks to YOU, we've already stored 11 bags! That's a great start! We've also collected some great shoes that match the requests from our families in need! Well done!

To stay on pace for a successful outcome, we'd like to store between 12 and 15 bags over the next week.  A great goal is for every Ridgeline family to collect between 25-50 pairs of shoes between now and February 15. This coming week, try to tell 25 people about our Shoe Drive Fundraiser and ask if they have any shoes to donate. If you do, you may find yourself reaching that goal in no time!

Immunization Exclusion Day is quickly approaching. Please ensure your child’s immunization updates are turned in to the office this week, to ensure you do not receive a letter from the Lane County Health Department. Exclusion Day is February 20, which means that if you do not have your immunization paperwork in by that day your child will not be able to attend school.

Slippers – We are approaching that time of the year when students’ slippers may be a bit worn or their toes are hanging out. It is also a time when stores have slippers on clearance. Please check with your student to see whether they need a new pair of slippers (ones that stay on their feet and can be worn outside during fire drills are ideal).

Speed Limit Reduced - Please note that the speed limit on East and West Amazon has been reduced to 30 mph starting this week. We appreciate the city taking measures to help ensure the safety of everyone who uses this corridor. For more information click here.

New Year’s Resolution to Walk & Roll! - With the new year comes a chance try new ways of getting to and from school. Tired of waiting in traffic? Imagine what else you could do with that extra time if your child was walking, biking, carpooling or riding the bus to school. You could enjoy some needed “me time” if your child rides the bus or enjoy “we time” biking or walking together. New Years is a great time to make positive changes in your life - so give it a try! Who knows how long it could take to drive with all this recent traffic? Older students can walk or roll on their own; younger students will need to walk or roll with an adult.
