Board Meeting Recap.

posted Jun 1, 2020, 4:17 PM by Cynthia Friedman

At the board meeting last Thursday evening, the Board heard details of the financial forecast for the next few years and looked at preliminary budget numbers in response to that forecast. The numbers in combination with the operational challenges we're facing over the next few years are difficult. Although Ridgeline is in a good financial position right now, the uncertainties we are facing require us to be careful and cautious with our resources. The Board requested that the budget committee try to maintain annual step increases and expand health insurance coverage for staff in their proposed budget for 2020-2021. The Board also temporarily suspended paying additional monthly principal on our building loan. The Board was updated on the planning that is going on for next year. The Board renewed contracts for all licensed staff for the 2020-2021 school year and extends its sincerest thanks to all staff members for their work in continuing to reach and teach our students this spring. You can listen to an audio recording of the 2-hour meeting here. You can always reach the board at We welcome your comments, questions, and ideas.
