Hello, Room 9 families!

We have a FIELD TRIP this Friday to AproVecho Sustainability Farm. AproVecho experiments with things like cob house building, beekeeping, and sustainable gardening practices. We will leave at 9am and will return by early dismissal at 1:15. Please find the attached permission slip OR fill out the slip that is coming home on Wednesday! $6 will cover entry fee and gas money for our intrepid drivers!

We are almost finished with testing. A huge thanks and congratulations to all the students who worked so hard and did their best.

Our TEN DAY COUNTDOWN to the end of school begins on JUNE 1st. Please mark your calendars for the following events:
JUNE 1: Song day! Students may choose school-appropriate music to put on a list, and the list will play during work period.
JUNE 2: Move up day. Students moving to Ridgeline's middle school will visit the middle school classroom; students leaving Ridgeline will visit Kinder; and returning students will get to know next year's incoming classmates.
JUNE 6: Outside day! Students will have the opportunity to work outside and participate in outdoor games.
JUNE 7: INTERNATIONAL FOOD DAY. Students are invited to bring international foods from home to share with friends. If you can find Vegemite, please tell me, because every elementary student should have that experience! Please send a clear ingredients list for any food your student brings to the classroom.
JUNE 8: Movie day. Students may watch a movie with their class.
JUNE 9: PET DAY.  Further instructions to follow in next week's email
JUNE 12: Blanket fort and reading day!
JUNE 13: Game day for the classroom and ALL SCHOOL PICNIC in the evening.
JUNE 14: Field day for the whole school and UNBIRTHDAY PARTY for Room 9. Students are invited to bring an object that is special to them and their favorite song to share with the group. Students should plan to bring a teacup from home. Please contact me if you are interested in providing tea snacks for this event!
JUNE 15: ALL CLASS OVERNIGHT. I will need at least TWO PARENT CHAPERONES for this event. We will arrive at Ridgeline at 7pm; parents should plan to stay until 7am. Students may be picked up for early dismissal at 1:15 on the last day of school (June 16). This was a fantastic event last year, and we had a great time. Further details to follow.
JUNE 16: Pancakes and flash mob. Further details to follow.

I can't believe we're almost done! This year has been a crazy and awesome ride -- we have a great group!
