Sharon's Weekly Update 4-8-16

posted Apr 8, 2016, 12:17 PM by Cynthia Friedman
Hello, Room 7 families!

We were saddened to hear that Curtis Dunham, Ridgeline's counselor, will be retiring this week. Many students made cards and letters for Curtis to express their appreciation for his hard work and dedication.

This week, Room 7 students completed a practice run of the Smarter Balanced testing required by the state! We have our first testing sessions beginning next week. A huge thank you to Jen Hackstadt for setting up the library as a temporary computer lab.

PROJECT FAIR is just around the corner on Tuesday, April 26 from 3:15-4:15 and 6-7pm. Please plan to attend with your child and see the research projects that Ridgeline students have been exploring. Students who plan to participate in the Project Fair will need to purchase a tri-fold board to display their research. These boards are available in the office for $3, or can be brought from home.

Our upcoming HUMAN GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT classes are scheduled for April 19, 21 and 28th. Please plan to attend our Parent Preview night this Monday (April 11th) at 5:30pm.

April 9 - Grounds Keeping Work Party –

Come help us keep Ridgeline beautiful! A volunteer grounds keeping work party will be held Sunday, April 9, 1-3pm. We will be mowing, edging, weeding, pruning, seeding, raking and generally having fun; kids welcome too. Bring gardening tools if you've got 'em, plus gloves and rugged clothing. Meet at the outdoor classroom. All Family members may log volunteer hours.
