Academics
In math, work on area and volume continues along with fraction practice. Some groups are taking a closer look at how fractions and decimals are related, and how to turn fractions into decimals and vice versa. We also have some groups reviewing types of angles, and how different types of lines can intersect (or not).

Students' work on biomes is beginning to come to completion. The final step is to collect the information they have been researching and decide how they would like to present it to the class. They will also need to find a way to demonstrate how their animal's adaptation helps it live.

Move Up Day is Friday, and the class has been working on the Top 10 Things Incoming Students Need to Know About Room 7. They have been creating skits and posters that show these things, and will get to share them with the new class members on Friday.

Music Showcase
Thanks to all the families who came out to the music showcase at Churchill. It was wonderful seeing the whole school singing onstage at the same time. Our music teacher Jennifer Searl worked very hard to make this event happen, and it paid off.

End of Year Picnic and Outdoor Classroom Dedication
Join us on May 29 for our annual end of year picnic. We will also be dedicating the outdoor classroom to Ellen Wojahn. The picnic begins at 5:30 with the classroom dedication at 6:30.

Thanks,
Sarah, Jenny, Adriene, and Room 7
