Jon's Weekly Update 10-6-11

Dear Middle School Family,

We had a blast at the Middle School sleepover last week. What surprised me most was how much school work we got done the next day! Go team! Thanks again to Karen Fabiano, Leanne Collis, and Bruce Searl for joining us.

Electives are starting up this Friday, October 7. We have three groups this go around. Karen Fabiano is teaching the ever-evolving "Sports" elective. Carrie Culliton is joining forces with Veronica Miller to teach a Textiles (crocheting and felting) elective, where the students will create crafts to sell at Holiday Market. Jon's teaching an Ukulele elective.

We've finally gotten the math groups dialed in. Sorry for the false start. We have math lessons Monday through Thursday. Homework is due the next day.

Our First Cycle (the warm-up Cycle) ends on Monday, October 10. We begin Cycle 2 on Tuesday, October 11. Grades start fresh with each new Cycle. Cycle 2 ends on November 18.

Ask your student about their Personal Action Project for Cycle 2.
