Kindergarten's Weekly Update 10-13-11

posted Oct 13, 2011, 12:53 PM by Cynthia Friedman
Our Shape and Say stories for the last week and this week were “The Moaning Mountain” and “Sammy the Snake,” featuring the letters m and s, respectively.

We made pancakes for a second time and muffins on Monday. Many students are working on world maps. A few are nearly finished. New works for arithmetic include the bead bar stair, knot counting, odd/even, hanging teens, grouping tens, and simple addition and subtraction.

Our first fieldtrip is coming up on Monday, following the three-day weekend. Please remember to have your child wear clothing that will keep him/her warm and dry.

We hope families will be able to attend Curriculum Sharing this Thursday. Your children will get a lot from showing you their favorite work materials.

Homework is due Thursday this week. Check your child’s pencil grip and that s/he is forming each letter correctly.

Raffle basket Thank you to those who have contributed to our basket for the raffle. There is still time to send in items/certificates related to the five senses.
