The children are looking forward to giving their families a gift of song. They are practicing the songs that they will be singing at the Kindergarten Music Program on Tuesday, May 24 at 6:30. They will wear the sashes that they designed and sewed just for this occasion. We hope you all can attend.

We are watching the chicks grow since their hatching in class last month. We are still waiting for the tadpoles to grow back legs. The radishes and peas are growing and the carrots have just sprouted up out of the soil.

The children enjoyed making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches last week.

Coping in Kindergarten story: “Pick Me.”

The color wheel art is a current activity. The primary colors are dropped onto a laminated design and mixed to create the secondary colors. Collage work is also popular as well as tracing. New stencils are on the shelf.

Our class is maintaining a Walk + Bike to School chart with tally marks for the different modes of transportation.

The kindergartners will sing the national anthem, down on the baseball field during the Eugene Emeralds game!

Order forms and money are due for tickets to the baseball game on Saturday, June 25.

Sunscreen and sun hats are recommended for recess on these hot, sunny days.
