With Andrew’s assistance, the children prepared the soil in the raised beds behind the classrooms. They will be planting and learning about gardening.

This week each child prepared a bowl of oatmeal with Katherine’s assistance.

This month Merideth has taught about levers using many fun, engaging activities in the simple machines series.

On Wednesday, we said goodbye to our UO practicum student Zack Foote. A new university student will be joining us after spring break.

Limericks and leprechauns are on our minds as we look to St. Patrick’s Day. We are making shamrock necklaces and tracing shamrocks. Wear green next Thursday.

New songs and rhymes: “One Penny, Two Pennies,” “You are my Dollar,” “The Star Spangled Banner” and “It’s a Shamrock.”

The children are enjoying acting out the story “Benny’s Pennies.”

A volunteer or two is needed to cut fifteen cardboard tri-folds in half with a box cutter in preparation for our research projects.

Also, we are in need of listeners on Mondays and Tuesdays.
