“There comes a time
when we hear a certain call
When the world must come together as one…
We are the world, we are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day.”

Trip to Skate World
Our class trip to Skate World was a great success! A special thank you to all the wonderful parent drivers/chaperones—Betsy and Alan Brandenfels, Mary Johnson, Serafina Moses, Shonna Helm, and Kehaulani Inocencio. We had a fabulous time together and are grateful for the support, kindness, and appreciation that our community expressed toward all of its members. We have a beautiful group of students and families!

Going Out
Thank you to the Moses and Wheat Families for guiding students on a going out to the Newport Aquarium during Spring Break; students look forward to sharing their experience of the aquarium and sea otter research with the class!

Project Fair
Please join us for the Ridgeline Project Fair on April 19. Families may choose to come to the fair from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m. or 6 to 7 p.m. This is a great opportunity for students to share their talent and creativity with the larger Ridgeline community. Our class is focusing on research projects related to the natural world of the Pacific Northwest. Students may work on projects at home with family and also have extended research time during class. Students are integrating verbal/linguistic, naturalist, and visual/artistic intelligences into their projects, in addition to one or more of the following intelligences: interpersonal, intrapersonal, mathematical/logical, kinesthetic or musical. A note was sent home Friday with your child’s topic; please support your child in checking out two or more books from the public library on the topic and bring them to school on April 9.

Class Camping Trip
We look forward to our upcoming class camping trip to the Oregon Coast, May 30-June 1! We are in the process of planning and in need of parent volunteers with large vehicles to assist with transportation to and from the coast, in addition to one or two additional parents to camp with us. Please let me know if you are interested in being a driver and/or chaperone. Thank you!
