Be Kind to Animals
The Oregon Humane Society is hosting a Be Kind to Animals Poster and Story Contest for Grades 1-8 due 3-23-12. Poster themes include: Adopt a Pet and Make it Your Best Friend (grade 4), Pets Need to Be Members of the Family (grade 5), and Always Wait for a Dog or Cat to Approach You (grade 6). Story themes include: I know My Pet is a Part of the Family Because… (grades 3-4, 250 words) and My Pet is a Good Friend to Me Because… (grades 5-6, 300 words). Please let me know if your child is interested in participating in the contest.

We are practicing for the OAKS computer test in reading comprehension and math that will take place the week of March 19. Your child received reading comprehension passages to practice at home during the weekend and return to school on Monday. Thank you for your support!

Oregon Battle of the Books
Congratulations to the Ridgeline OBOB elementary team for placing 22 out of 49 teams in the regional tournament today! It was wonderful to see the bright collaboration and knowledge among the students; a special thank you to our awesome coach Robert Foltz! We look forward to our middle school tournament on March 10!
