Reminder – Parent meeting rescheduled to Thursday, September 29 at 5:30.

Biome Fashion Show Tomorrow!

Students may dress as biome explorers tomorrow.  Costumes can be created with a quick trip to the closet and stashed in a bag or backpack during school.   Human “explorer” costumes are preferred, but animal costumes specific to a particular biome are also fine.  As always, dressing up is fun but optional!

Spelling Begins

Next week, we start our spelling program with our wonderful volunteer Hahn Niemand.  Spelling will be on Tuesdays.  We give out new spelling lists and return spelling quizzes each Tuesday.  All returning students (and a few first graders) will be part of the spelling program.   Others will join in when they are ready.  Please help your child study their words at home – it helps them experience spelling success!

Placemats Please!

Remember to send a cloth napkin or placemat to school in your child’s lunchbox each day.

New Dance Program

Friday is the beginning of Ridgeline’s new dance and performing arts program.  Every Friday until winter break, we will be learning about dance fundamentals with Sue Matsu, a retired Montessori educator and dancer.  We’re excited to be able to offer this great opportunity for creative movement with the kids!
