Jogathon Tomorrow!

Please remember to send your kids to school ready to run.  We recommend layered clothing and good running shoes.  A change of clothes or a pair of dry socks will also come in handy if the weather gets drizzly.

Winter Green Farm Field Trip

On Wednesday, May 27 we will be visiting Winter Green Farm.  We will get a tour from farmer Shannon Overbaugh (Porter’s mom).  The trip will include a hayride, a seed planting project that the kids can take home, and a discussion of farm ecology.  Many thanks to the Overbaughs for making this possible!   Please let me know if you would like to chaperone this trip.  Chaperones should plan on being available from 8:40 to 1:45.  Permission slips will go home next week.

No School May 21 & 22/Family Conferences

Thank you to everyone who has signed up for conferences so far.  Children are welcome to participate.

Homework Growing Pains

Seeds missing?  Sprouts too slow?  Got a late start?  Some first and second grade families have been having seed snafus with the plant and measure homework.  Feel free to seek out a creative work-around (like using some young plants in your garden).  Or, check out the alternative project (How Much Mail?) below.
