Short Week Homework
Due to the short week, there is no math journal question in packets this week. Please do look for a double sided math worksheet, and continue to write in the red writing journal and practice those math facts!
Jing, our wonderful teaching intern from China, has been teaching the children how to say and write numbers in Chinese. See if your child can count from 1 to 10 for you!
Book Fair This Friday
Join us at Barnes and Noble this Friday! Students are encouraged (but not required) to recite their memorized poems for the crowd. The book fair will be from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Barnes and Noble across from Valley River Center. The Lion Class performance slot is at 6:45.
Welcome to Christopher M.!
We are all very excited to welcome a new student to our classroom. Christopher is a first grader who just moved to this side of town. Many different students have volunteered to show him the ropes and help him feel at home in our community.
Stone Soup Next Week
Next Thursday, November 21, students are invited to bring a soup vegetable for cutting. We will partner with Clint's upper elementary class the following day to enjoy a performance by the Ridgeline Theater Guild and, of course, to eat soup!
Book Club Reminder
Book Club meets on Thursday. Please make sure to have students bring book club books and assignments on that day. And a big thank you to our newest book club volunteer, Amy, who is Colyn's mom.
Scholastic catalogs went out in homework folders this week. Our classroom code for the website is KPPLH. Check it out atscholastic.com/bookclubs.
