Elementary kids are social beings, and they are naturally curious about all types of social relationships. Questions can arise around love - love for the family, for friends, and even romantic attachments. Recently, romance has come up in some of the children's conversations at school. We'll be addressing this as a whole class in the days to come, and encouraging kids to save romantic love, boyfriends and girlfriends for their teenage years. Parents, you may want to check in with your child. This is a great time to share your values and to answer their questions on the subject of love and romance.
Fun With Shampoo
After weeks of lunches, art projects and muddy feet, our carpet needs a spa treatment. We're looking for a volunteer who could give the rug a good scrubbing. We provide the shampooer, you provide the time (afternoon or evening). Let us know if you can help!
On behalf of the children, we'd like to thank the folks who make time each week to read with kids or help in class: Thea Cook, Talicia Brown, Wibke Fretz, Starr Troll, and Cherri Rose. We also appreciate the many chaperones who have helped make our field trips so successful. We are blessed to have such an involved parent community. Thanks!
Remember to return a list of addresses for your child. We're looking forward to sending letters soon!
