Dear Room 10 families,

Classroom Happenings - What a great start to the year. All your students seem to be adjusting to the classroom and we are working hard at developing a strong community. We have spent a lot of time crafting our classroom in a way that we all would like it to look. We have practiced routines and created materials that we will be using all year. Students are starting to develop personal research projects. I would encourage families to start talking about topics that your student may want to research at school.

Testing - We will be starting benchmark testing in the coming days. The best ways to prepare for these tests and is making sure your students are well rested and have eaten a good breakfast each morning. Please support your student the best you can to prepare for these tests.

Rain Gear and Winter Clothing (Way too Early) - The time has come much earlier this year than ever before. Please send your students with appropriate rain gear and clothing because a little rain does not stop us from going outside for recess.

PE - PE has started and we had a ton of fun on our first day. Since it has started raining, please be aware that some rain shoes are not appropriate to wear during PE. If your student decides to wear boots on Monday or Wednesday, please have them come to school with an appropriate pair of PE shoes.

One mission, One Vision, One School, One Community

Attendance - The year is just beginning and it is a great time to build great habits!  Being in school, on time, every day is important. Good attendance is strongly linked to academic, social, and emotional success.

We believe that students and families that feel they are included in the school community are more likely to show up consistently

We believe that good attendance will allow your child to fully contribute to and fully benefit from the classroom community.

We believe good attendance will not only build strong academics, but also build strong socially and emotionally capable humans.

Thank you for learning and growing with us!
