It was amazing how well students put the finishing touches on their architectural project display boards last week. The final projects look amazing! On Monday of this week, each student also had the chance to present their project to other students. Hearing students share what they liked most about their own designs was a real treat for me. And this coming Friday, all of the students participating in the Architects in Schools Program will be the guests of honor at the Jacobs Gallery exhibit opening. The gallery is located in the Hult Center and will open at 5:30pm, with students being recognized for their hard work starting at 6pm.
End of Year Trip Drivers Needed! Students have chosen to go to the Enchanted Forest for their end of the year trip and we need volunteer drivers to get us there. We are planning on leaving Ridgeline at 9am on Thursday, June 5 and returning here before 3pm. If you are able to drive, please let me know how many you can take in your car.
OAKS testing continued this week and will continue through May 22nd. Most students have already finished their reading test. I am really impressed by the level of focus by the test takers and the support (silence) by the rest of the class during testing times. It's not easy being quiet for almost three hours! Fifth graders will take the science test next, followed by all students taking the math test.
