Dear Families,

On Monday, April 11 at 5:30pm, Planned Parenthood is scheduled to give an overview presentation to parents for the upcoming Human Growth and Development unit for upper-el students. Learn what your child will learn about and have your own questions about the curriculum answered!

Please RSVP to me at clint.moore@ridgeline.org if you plan to attend this meeting.  It will be canceled if fewer than five parents RSVP by the Monday, April 4 RSVP deadline.

Registration for the UO Science and Invention Fair 2015

Last year the science fair judges loved the projects our class submitted!  All students coordinating a science fair project are being asked to register for this year’s science fair as soon as possible.

The fair will be held on the UO Campus on May 7, 2016.  This event is open to the public and family friendly.  To register please use the online Science Fair Registration Application at http://spicescience.uoregon.edu/science-fair-registration.  There is a $20 registration fee. (To request a financial hardship scholarship simply check the scholarship box on your application form.)

SPICE is also hosting one more public workshop:

Saturday, April 2, 2016

11:00-1:00pm

Springfield Public Library -Downtown

These workshops will cover everything you need to know in order to develop and carry out your own science fair project. Workshops include hands on activities and take home resources.

Smarter Balanced State Testing Practice Sessions

For the upcoming Smarter Balanced state tests, a temporary computer lab has been set up in the school’s library.  To help students become familiar with the structure of the test, our class is scheduled to start practice sessions next week.

Groundskeeping Work Party

Come help us keep Ridgeline beautiful!  A volunteer grounds keeping work party will be held Sunday, April 9, 1-3pm.  We will be mowing, edging, weeding, pruning, seeding, raking and generally having fun; kids welcome too.  Bring gardening tools if you've got 'em, plus gloves and rugged clothing.  Meet at the outdoor classroom. All family members may log volunteer hours.
