Happy Winter Break!

Classroom Happenings - We’ve wrapped up our Native Nations of Oregon research.  Students presented this week and we saw everything from slide shows, to interviews, to slide shows showing interviews, fabulous posters and beyond.  Congratulate your student for their hard work and excellent presentation. We also finished up our fiction story. They were published this week and many student chose to share them with their kindergarten reading buddy,  Ask you student what their story was about or what they learned about Oregon Native Nations this week.

Field Trip- Wow!  What an exciting field trip!  Students were thoughtful, asked questions, and were absorbed in the eco-bot art activity afterward.  We were complimented by both the bus driver and the docents as to our wonderful class! Congratulations Room 9!

During the break- Please have you student practice their math facts.  We don’t want all that hard learning lost over the two week break.  There are great programs out there like xtramath.org adaptedmind.com, and prodigygame.com AND they are free!

Some snowflake art to make our room festive.  Ezra using his design skills with fraction shapes. Contemplating a Picasso at the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art.

RELAX, and REJUVINATE during your wonderful winter break!
