Clint's Weekly Update 10-23-14

Curriculum Sharing

Thank you to all of those who come out for Curriculum Sharing Night.  I get so much joy out of having families visit the classroom.

Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences

Sign-up sheets are now posted outside Ridgeline’s main office.  Yes, each Upper El student is not only expected to attend, but lead, their own conference!  Please choose a time that will allow for this to happen.

On Monday alone, there were 6 students late for school.  Needless to say, having over ⅕ of the class come in late is something that we would all like to avoid.  Please set those alarm clocks for a few minutes earlier than needed so Room 10 can start our day on time.

Halloween costumes are not allowed at Ridgeline.  Now, if students woke up on the morning of October 31 and “accidently” stayed in their pajamas or even dressed up like a past (or current) teacher of theirs, that would surely be entertaining and appropriate.

Oregon Battle of the Books (OBOB)

Beginning Friday, October 24, all OBOBers will be meeting in Clint’s Room.  Please remind your child that they are to wait with their classroom teacher or assistant until an OBOB volunteer is ready for them.  ****We are looking for additional parent volunteer support for the younger kids*******

Barnes and Noble Bookfair News

Room 10 would like parent support for helping students design and rehearse their bookfair presentation.  If you would like to help out in this way, please let Clint know as soon as possible.
