Clint's Weekly Update 1-8-15

Dear Families,

I hope you had a refreshing and enjoyable winter vacation and thank you for a tremendous end to 2014. I truly enjoy working with each and every student in this class and really appreciate all of the support you offer.

Calendar Projects
I heard a lot of positive reports from students who gave copies of their calendars to family and friends. Like I told the class, this is a project to be proud of because these calendars represent an essay that is at least 12 paragraphs long!

Two-Week Work Plan
In continuing the two-week work plan implementation, the current work plan will not be formally sent home until Friday January 16. Of course, you may ask your child to take it home earlier so you can discuss ongoing works, as well as those that have already been completed.

Connections to the 3 Islands Project
Students continue to make strong connections between the U.S. History content we are currently studying and the 3 Islands Project that we wrapped up last year. I am impressed by some of the extra research that some students are taking on in order to convince me that their connections are strongly supported.
