Full year calendar is available at: http://www.ridgeline.org/calendar

ARRIVAL/DISMISSAL: This year children can enter the classrooms at 8:25. To avoid a tardy mark, children must be in the classroom by 8:40. Dismissal for all students is 3:15.

Sharing Themes: Sept.28- A sign of Autumn, Oct. 5- A favorite poem or recipe

INSIDE SHOES: Please be sure your child has a pair of inside shoes. Much of the ‘work’ in our classroom involves hands-on materials used on the rug. Inside shoes help to keep our classroom environment cleaner and quieter.

**CROSSING GUARDS NEEDED – Please consider volunteering as a crossing guard to help our students cross the “No Name” Street (adjacent to back parking lot). We need adults willing to stand on the corner from 8:15-8:40. If you are able to commit for one (or more) morning each week please let us know.

UNICEF FUNDRAISER: In honor of World Peace Day, Sept. 21, and as a way to promote peace, Montessori schools across the world have joined together and pledged to raise money for refugees. Ridgeline plans to participate in this important endeavor. UNICEF is

the primary organization providing food, water and services to many refugee families. Money collected will be sent to UNICEF. In our class children are working to fill a container with coins. They will also receive Trick-or-treat for UNICEF boxes for Halloween. The fundraiser will last until the end of October when we will announce the total amount donated. If you have questions, please email, phone (541-681-9662) or send a note.

ART VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: We are in need of adult volunteers willing to come to school on Thursday afternoons and help with art. We have two art times this year: 10:30-11:30 and 1:00-2:00. If you would like to help, please let us know.

Thanks, Cheri and Azusa
