Cheri's Weekly Update 6-9-11

posted Jun 13, 2011, 10:19 AM by Cynthia Friedman
Our last full week of school this year…

*Tomorrow (Thursday) is field day: Students at Dunn will walk to Willard and we’ll all eat lunch together on the field. Students that have cafeteria lunch will receive a brown bag lunch. After lunch we’ll enjoy Field Day activities organized by the Middle School students. At the end of the day, all students will dismiss from Willard! Thanks for extra care and patience in the parking lot.

*Tomorrow is also end-of-year Picnic : At 5:30, bring your picnic dinners and join us at the Dunn Site for the all-school, End-of-Year Picnic on Thursday. Our class performs Bhangra Dance at 6:00 with a group sing-a-long after. Dance instructor, SatPavan, has asked that girls wear colorful skirts, dresses or pants and boys wear jeans and a white shirt. The children have been practicing their steps and are ready to entertain you! There will also be posters at the picnic where you can sign up to help with the packing/moving. See you there!

Homework: No more homework this year. Please return Homework folders and I’ll save them for September.

No School This Friday: Friday, June 10, is a grading day for teachers. No school for students.

Which classroom is ours and Help with the move: We are slowly packing up the classrooms at Willard to prepare for our move to Dunn. Our new classroom will be the current Middle School room in the lower wing. Although our room probably won’t be ready until mid July, we want everything boxed and ready to go. I will be at school Thursday and Friday (June 16, 17) finishing packing and cleaning. If you can help, please let me know. There will also be sign-up sheets at the picnic.
