HOMEWORK: Please return Homework Packets. Homework ends this week. Thanks for your support.

SHARING THEME: 5/11 Something that reminds you of a mother or grandmother. 5/18 A rock

PROJECT FAIR: What an amazing variety and number of projects we had this year! Students, thank you for your hard work. Parents, thank you for your support of this shared learning experience!

Lunch at Chapala’s: Perfect weather, delicious food and a happy gathering of Ridgeline families made for another memorable Cinco de Mayo lunch. Gracias!

Calling all summer birthdays! I’d like students with summer birthdays to have an opportunity to celebrate with their class. Please contact me and we’ll plan a time when your student’s special day can be shared. The children so enjoy seeing photos and hearing stories about their classmate’s early years. To schedule your student’s ‘walk around the sun’, e-mail or send in a note.

MAY IS BIKE & WALK TO SCHOOL MONTH – Please encourage your student to walk, bike, or use another non-motor powered means of transportation. Even walking a few blocks counts for those traveling a long distance. Students will ‘record’ their mode of transportation daily.

JOGATHON IS COMING UP! Our annual Jog-a-thon is planned for next Friday, May 15. We are in need of volunteers. Pledge sheets were sent home last Friday. If you want to volunteer, have questions or need more information about the jog-a-thon, please contact Cynthia at 541-681-9662.

CONFERENCES: Spring conferences are scheduled for Thursday, 5/21 and Friday, 5/22. If you would like to schedule a time to meet with your child’s teacher, please sign up on the wall-schedule in the school lobby.

CULTURAL STUDIES: Topics in science/social science this month include: Study of mammals in zoology, Study of seed germination in botany, Study of Inner Earth and Volcanoes & Hawaii in geography and study of Roman Numerals in history.

Thanks for sharing your precious children.
