HOMEWORK: REMEMBER TO RETURN HOMEWORK PACKETS FRIDAY!

CURRICULUM SHARING: Today’s the day! Come to the classroom and enjoy Curriculum Sharing, Thursday, May 8 and allow your child to show you some favorite classroom activities. Join us anytime between 3:15-4:15 and 6:00-7:00pm.

THANK YOU! Cameron Scott (Brenna’s Dad) and Todd Bush (Gavin’s Dad) spent time the past two weeks mowing the lawn outside our classroom! Now the students can enjoy sitting outside for lunch and snack…weather permitting.

GROUNDS KEEPING WORK PARTY - Come help us keep Ridgeline beautiful! A volunteer grounds keeping work party will be held on Sunday, May 18th between 9am and noon. We'll be weeding, pruning, raking and generally having fun; kids welcome too. Bring gardening tools if you have them, plus gloves & rugged clothing.

FOOD PANTRY USE - If you send a snack and lunch to school with your child please check in to see if he/she may be utilizing the pantry. We have noticed increased use of the food pantry, especially for snacks. If your family does not need this assistance please have a conversation with your student and see if he/she is having a growth spurt and perhaps needs more food. We welcome communication from families letting us know if they want their student to use the pantry or not. We want to make sure that we have food available for any child who really needs it.

MAY IS BIKE & WALK TO SCHOOL MONTH – Please encourage your students to travel to school by walking, biking, or some other non-motor powered means of transportation. Even walking a few blocks counts for those traveling a long distance. Students will ‘record’ how they got to school on a classroom chart.

MUSIC SHOWCASE: Mark you calendars for this special all school musical event. Music teacher, Jennifer Searl, has arranged for a musical performance featuring the school choir along with all Ridgeline students. The kids are practicing their songs and “stage behavior” in preparation for this evening affair scheduled for, May 20 at 6:30pm (students should arrive by 5:45pm) at Churchill High School Auditorium.

Sharing theme: Week of 5/12- A favorite book,
Week of 5/19- A math tool
