READ AT EMERALD VALLEY: We still hope to find another volunteer to help with this special program. The children need someone to walk them over to Emerald Valley on Wednesday mornings from 10:15-10:45. If you can help once or twice a month please let me know.

Eugene Symphony Youth Concert: The students really enjoyed this concert funded by the Eugene Symphony Association. Over 1,500 students from Eugene and Springfield public schools attended the amazing performance. Ask your child about their favorite instrument, composer or musical piece. Highlights included “Ode to Joy," “Simple Gifts,” “Bought Me a Cat,” and Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite. Bill Hulings, master of ceremonies, was incredibly entertaining!

By the way, two ushers complimented our children’s polite behavior while at the Hult Center.

ASIAN CELEBRATION 2016! Students from our class have been invited to participate in the Bhangra dance performances during the 2016 Asian Celebration. This amazing event is held at the Lane Events Center on Saturday and Sunday, February 20 and 21. Admission is free for kids and $6.00 a day for adults but families of children that participate will receive one free adult admission for both days of the festival! Please let me know if your student will participate and I’ll be sure your name is on the free admission list. The dance they have been practicing is wonderful. Our kids are scheduled to dance on Sunday at 4:30. When you arrive, please check-in with teachers in the area behind the main stage so we know you you’ve arrived. Instructor SatPavan asks that children arrive by 3:45! Questions? Send a note, an email or leave a message (541) 681-9662. Hope you can make it!
