VALENTINE’S DAY: Valentine’s Day was so much fun! Thanks so much for your support!

ASIAN CELEBRATION 2018:
Students from our class are invited to participate in the Bhangra dance performances during the 2018 Asian Celebration. The event is held at the Lane Events Center on Saturday and Sunday, February 18 and 19. Admission is free for kids and $6.00 a day for adults but families of children that participate will receive one free adult admission for both days of the festival! Please let me know if your student will participate and I’ll be sure your name is on the free admission list. The dance they have been practicing is wonderfully energetic. Our kids are scheduled to dance on Sunday at 4:30. Please arrive by 4:00 and check in with Azusa or me behind the main stage. Bhangra dance instructor, SatPavan encourages girls to wear a colorful outfit-skirt or pants. Boys are asked to wear jeans and a plain, light colored shirt. We’ll have a colorful sash and headband for them to wear. Hope you and your student can attend! Visit this website for more information: http://asiancelebration.org

ASTRONOMY: Our very own sun, a medium-sized star, is the center of our solar system. We will spend the next few weeks learning about the planets, dwarf planets, moons, and asteroids. If you have items or books that will enhance this study please consider sharing.

HISTORY: Time is a fascinating topic. Not only are students honing their time telling skills, they are also exploring the plants and animals that lived during the Earth’s geologic history. If you have items or books that will enhance this study please consider sharing.
