SHARING: Week of 10/24- Something from another country; Week of 10/31- A poem or joke
PUMPKIN PATCH FIELD TRIP…. And what a soggy field trip it was! The highlight of the day was watching our bus, which was stuck in the mud, get towed out by the Detering Orchards tractor! Our whole group clapped and cheered in relief. Special thanks to the adult supervisors that kept our kids safe and happy!
PICTURE RETAKES are scheduled for Wednesday, October 26.
DRESS UP FOR INTERNATIONAL DAY: On Friday, Oct. 28, students in Cheri’s Class are invited to celebrate International Day by dressing in a costume or clothing from another country. The costumes can be anything from a ‘French beret’ or ‘Mexican sombrero’ to something more elaborate. As well as making flags and maps, each child will have an opportunity to research and share information about their country. Afterwards we’ll snack on some international foods. The snacks need to be commercially prepared & packaged or prepared at school. If you can help with snack donations or classroom set up, please let me know. Questions? Email or send a note.
DESERT BIOME: Last week we learned about the types of deserts in the world. Ask your student to tell you about them. We have started dioramas and research. If you have books or other items about deserts please consider sharing with our classroom.
STUDENT-LED CONFERENCES are coming up Monday, October 31 and Tuesday, November 1. This year parents will be able to reserve conference times online!
Click HERE to sign up. If the available times are not convenient, please email or call and we’ll figure out an alternative.
Thanks for sharing your adventurous children!
