PUMPKIN PATCH FIELD TRIP: Our Pumpkin Patch trip to Wintergreen Farm is scheduled for this Monday, October 21. We leave Ridgeline on a 4J school bus at 10:00 and return by 2:30. The children will enjoy a wagon ride, choose a pumpkin
and tour the farm. They will also eat lunch at the farm. Please send an appropriate lunch with your student. Be sure we have a signed permission form by Friday.
CURRICULUM SHARING IS THIS THURSDAY! This event is a time for you and your child to spend time together in the classroom. Your student may want to show you some favorite work and take you on a classroom tour. Whatever the choice, this is your student’s chance to demonstrate their independence and pride in their classroom. Let them shine! On Thursday, come into the classroom with your student either right after school, 3:15-4:15 or later in the day, 6:00-7:00. See you there.
BE ON TIME! It is so very important that your student arrives at school on time each morning. Between 8:25 and 8:40 children greet one another and their teachers, they put their lunches and backpacks away, change into their inside shoes, check their planners and prepare for their day. When class begins at 8:40 they are ready to learn. When kids are late they often miss important information as well as a feeling of belonging and involvement with their learning community. Thanks for your understanding.
Homework program: Please remember to return homework packets on Friday morning.
Sharing: 10/21: A mask, scarf or funny hat 10/28: An instrument or a collection
*Artist of the month: Van Gogh *Composer of the month: Vivaldi
Stick Bugs: Our student, Gavin, and his family, shared stick bugs with the class.
Be sure to check them out when you come for Curriculum Sharing on Thursday!

Pumpkin Patch Field Trip Permission
On Monday, October 21, we plan to visit Wintergreen Farm in Noti. We will travel via 4J bus and plan to leave school at 10:00 and return by 2:30. The children will tour the farm, ride in a hay wagon and choose a pumpkin to bring back to school. We’ll also enjoy lunch at the farm. Please send an appropriate lunch and an extra reusable bag that your student can use to carry their pumpkin. Rain gear (boots and jackets- but no umbrellas) may be necessary. Pumpkins will stay at school for a day or two so we can wash, weigh and measure them. Please send $4.00 for each bus rider. If the cost presents a hardship and you would like scholarship information, please call the office. (541-681-9662).
