Cheri's Update 5-4-2020

posted May 4, 2020, 12:55 PM by Cynthia Friedman
Welcome to Week Six of home learning. May 4- 8. (Remember-No Zoom Meeting on Fridays)

Thank you for supporting your children’s home learning. This week we would like to encourage completion of Seesaw Activities. One math and one Language Arts work each day would be great.

New this week is an opportunity for students to share items or information with their classmates during our Zoom meetings. Sharing gives the students an opportunity to teach others while practicing oral presentation skills. Your child should be able to tell three facts+ answer questions about their ‘sharing’. Monday-Gr. 3, Tuesday-Gr. 2, Wednesday-Gr. 1, Thursday-If you forgot

🏃🏻‍♂️🏃‍♀️We strongly suggest students take a break for physical activity after 20 minutes of focused, quiet work. 🏃‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️

Outdoor activities done with family are the best! We encourage parents/students to use their imagination/creativity to integrate Language Arts, Math and Cultural (science/social science /arts) learning while enjoying time together.

**Please share feedback about how home-learning is working for your family? Email: cheri.spies@ridgeline.org

· Tell us about activities that worked well and those that didn’t…
· Give us suggestions for alternate activities.
· Let us know how we can better support you and your students.
· Ask us about expectations/standards for student work

We miss you and can hardly wait until we can all be together again, as a classroom and as a school community.
Take care and stay safe❣️

Cheri and Azusa
