UPCOMING EVENTS

PROJECT FAIR: Every year Ridgeline holds a Project Fair. Students research a topic of their choice then create a visual display to share the information with others. This year’s Project Fair is scheduled for Tuesday, April 23. Here are some examples of projects completed by students from previous years: a model of a car engine built with legos, pictures of pets and how to care for them, pictures and facts about the life of Houdini, a mobile of the solar system, a volcano model, pictures and facts showing the life cycle of a frog, a plant experiment, rules and playing instructions for soccer, 3 generations of a “family tree”, the history of polio. Families can come and enjoy the displays right after school at 3:05-4:05 or come later in the evening from 6:00-7:00pm.

Let us know if you have questions, need advice or if you’d like to purchase a cardboard display board for $3.50.

HOMEWORK PACKETSYour students brought home additional activities in their Monday homework folder. Besides the Scholastic news issue, children have a set of flashcards and math fact booklets to practice memorization and a Home Journal to practice writing skills. Family schedules can be challenging and I understand if homework doesn’t fit. Homework should be a fun experience that will provide an opportunity for you to work with your student and to gain a better understanding of his/her academic levels. Feel free to email me if you have questions or if you are available to help with the homework folders on Mondays. cheri.spies@ridgeline.org

Thanks for sharing your wonderful children!
