Siblings of students who are currently enrolled and will remain enrolled in Ridgeline in the coming year receive enrollment priority so long as an application for the sibling is received prior to the application deadline. If space is unavailable, students with sibling-level priority will be the first group selected by an equitable lottery process for placement on the waiting list. In order to qualify for sibling preference, you must complete the online enrollment application for any incoming sibling by January 31

Intent to Return in March: Every year we ask our current families what their enrollment plans are for the upcoming school year. This year the intent to return online form will be available starting March 16th. This is how you retain your student’s spot at Ridgeline.

DICKIE JO’S AND DICKIE YO’S – OUR JANUARY restaurant fundraiser is Dickie Jo's and Dickie Yo's! Come reconnect after winter break with friends and have a burger or some frozen yogurt (vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options too)! Join Ridgeline Montessori at Dickie Jo’s and Dickie Yo’s across from the Valley River Center Mall on Monday, January 13th ALL DAY and Tuesday, January 14th ALL DAY. Bring your coupon and Ridgeline will get 25% of your purchase. Dine in or take out! Get together with your community or take your office to lunch! Coupons will be sent home on Friday.

TALENT SHOW: On January 24, from 6-8 p.m., Ridgeline students will rock your socks off! Last year’s event was a great success—we had musical acts, breakdancing droids, and ventriloquism, just to name a few! A volunteer visited our classrooms to explain talent show guidelines to students. A sign-up sheet is available in the classroom. A volunteer is needed to run lighting.

We will now turn our attention to the Arctic Biomes and learn about the plants, animals and people that inhabit these harsh environments. If you have items/books that support our studies please consider sharing. Our culminating project will be a diorama made with a cardboard box! Since storage space in our classroom is limited, be on the lookout for a smallish box. We’ll ask you send the boxes to school in February.

: We love seeing photos and hearing about each child’s life. If you would like to schedule a school birthday celebration, please contact Cheri in advance. Also, if your student missed their birthday or has a summer birthday please consider a ‘half- or third- or quarter-birthday’ celebration at school. Let me know! Send an email or a note to school.

Winter Weather: Snow Day Information

In the case of inclement weather that would make roads, school parking lots, driveways or sidewalks unsafe for travel, Ridgeline Montessori Public Charter School will be closed when the 4J school district is closed. If Ridgeline is scheduled to be in session, and no announcement is made, school is still in schedule as planned.
Ridgeline Montessori will delay opening when 4J schools are scheduled to open on a delayed schedule. Ridgeline Montessori Public Charter School may be in session on a day when 4J happens to be already out of session. In this case, Ridgeline Montessori Public Charter School will make the announcement on our website,

Ridgeline Montessori Public Charter School values safety. Neither 4J nor Ridgeline can make a decision based on conditions near individual families or staff. Families and staff are encouraged to consider road and sidewalk conditions in their areas and make decisions based on safety. Ridgeline Montessori honors parents’ decisions about school attendance in these conditions. Staff members should contact the school and exercise leave options available to them when they believe they are unable to get to work safely.

Snow day notifications: Our school district communicates any decision to change school or bus schedules as quickly as possible in several ways, all well before 6:30 a.m.

No news = No change. If schools and buses are on their regular schedule, there will NOT be an announcement.

School Closure = No school for students. Decision about afternoon/evening activities will be made by noon.

Two-Hour Delay: School starts two hours late and ends at the usual school dismissal time. If a delay occurs on an early release Friday, school will still be dismissed at the early release time.
