Dear Ridgeline Families,
RETURN HOMEWORK PACKETS: Since our week is so short please keep the homework packets over the weekend and return them Friday, November 21. We included additional work.

STUDENT CONFERENCES: Thank you so much for taking the time to meet and discuss your student’s progress and goals for this school year. I appreciate your commitment to your child’s education.

BOOK FAIR AT BARNES AND NOBLE: This Friday, November 14, join us at Barnes & Noble for a fun, family time. Our class will present a short reader’s theater performance of “Stone Soup”. Please arrive by 5:45pm so we have time to gather for the 6:15 pm performance. If your family will not attend the book fair please let me know.

GRANDPERSONS’ DAY: Students may invite a grandparent or ‘grandperson’ to Ridgeline, Friday, November 14. Guests should arrive at 10:45 AM. They’ll attend a brief presentation about Ridgeline in the auditorium then join their student for lunch at 11:45. RSVP by November 13. To RSVP or for information, email:
cheri.spies@ridgeline.org or call the office 541-681-9662.

MATH CLUB: Auden’s Dad, Hayden Harker, is leading a kid’s math club every Wednesday after school from 3:15-4:15. The club is free and open to students in grades 3-6.

STONE SOUP: Our Community Celebration is planned for Wednesday, November 26, the day before Thanksgiving. Every year our class discusses the moral of the Stone Soup story and it will be especially meaningful this year due to our readers’ theater performance at Barnes & Noble. On Tuesday, November 25, students at Ridgeline will help to prepare (wash, peel and slice) vegetables for the soup. The students are well-supervised throughout this process. Your student will ‘sign up’ to bring a vegetable and we’ll send a note home with that information. If the veggie/herb your child chooses is not convenient, feel free to substitute. We would like volunteers to help supervise washing, peeling and cutting vegies on Tuesday from 9:00-11:00am. If you can come, please let me know.

HOOP DANCE AND JUGGLING ASSEMBLY: This year the students will enjoy a special assembly in the gym before having soup in their classrooms. These local performers are a lively and entertaining group. Please send $2 as a donation to help cover the cost.

Sharing: 1/10 An item made with wool, 11/17 A recipe, song or poem

Thanks, Cheri and Azusa
