PUMPKIN PATCH FIELD TRIP: Our Pumpkin Patch trip to Wintergreen Farm has been rescheduled for Wednesday, October 29. We leave Ridgeline on a 4J school bus at

10:00 and return by 2:30. The children will enjoy a wagon ride, choose a pumpkin and tour the farm. They will also eat lunch at the farm. Please send an appropriate lunch. Chris and Shannon tell me the pumpkins are extra big this year! Please send an appropriate lunch and an extra-strong, reusable bag that your student can use to carry their pumpkin. Parents are welcome to join us. Be sure we have a signed permission form (attached).

CURRICULUM SHARING: The spotlight is on your child as they bring you into the classroom and show you some favorite activities. Please come anytime from 3:15-4:15 or 6:30-7:30pm. Enjoy this special time with your student!

DRESS UP FOR INTERNATIONAL DAY: On Friday, Oct. 31, (Halloween), students in Cheri’s Class are invited to celebrate International Day by dressing in a costume or clothing from another country or culture. They may also bring an object from another country. The costumes/objects can be anything from a ‘Mexican sombrero’ or ‘peso’ to something more elaborate. As well as making flags and maps, each child will have an opportunity to research and share information about their country. Afterwards we’ll snack on some international foods. The snacks need to be commercially prepared & packaged or prepared at school. Let us know if you can help with snack donations. Questions? Email or send a note.

STUDENT CONFERENCES are scheduled for Friday, Nov. 7 and Monday, Nov. 10. Students are invited to attend with their parents. Please sign up for a convenient time slot on the chart in the school lobby. Or if you prefer you can email me and I’ll let you know available days/times. During the conferences, we will discuss your student’s current work and goals for the year.

If the available times are not convenient, I’m happy to meet with you one day after school.

*The clothing exchange will take place on the same day as conferences—Nov. 7 and Nov. 10.

Sharing: 10/27: An instrument or a collection, 11/3: Something that weighs less than 5 pounds
