Dear Ridgeline Families,

· Ridgeline’s Block Party was very successful and didn’t the kids do a great job with their dancing!? Thank you all for your support.
· Our trip to the Hult Center was a bit soggy but the performance was so worth it. I’m wondering what you heard from your student?
· Our Pumpkin Patch trip is scheduled. Please complete and return permission form as soon as possible!
· Curriculum Sharing: The day after the pumpkin patch. Join us and watch your student shine!

PUMPKIN PATCH FIELD TRIP: Our Pumpkin Patch trip to Wintergreen Farm is
scheduled for this Wednesday, October 22. We leave Ridgeline on a 4J school bus at
10:00 and return by 2:30. The children will enjoy a wagon ride, choose a pumpkin
and tour the farm. They will also eat lunch at the farm. Please send an appropriate
and, as much as possible, recyclable, lunch. The pumpkins may be larger this year.
Please send a strong, reusable shopping bag for pumpkin carrying. Parents are welcome to join us. Be sure we have a signed permission form (attached) by Tuesday.

PICTURE RETAKES are also scheduled for Wednesday, October 22. Our students will be first, so come a little early.

CURRICULUM SHARING: The spotlight is on your child as they bring you into the classroom and show you some favorite activities. Please come anytime from 3:15-4:15 or 6:30-7:30pm. Enjoy this special time with your student!

DRESS UP FOR INTERNATIONAL DAY: On Friday, Oct. 31, students in Cheri’s Class are invited to celebrate International Day by dressing in a costume or clothing from another country or culture. The costumes can be anything from a ‘French beret’ or ‘Mexican sombrero’ to something more elaborate. As well as making flags and maps, each child will have an opportunity to research and share information about their country. Afterwards we’ll snack on some international foods. The snacks need to be commercially prepared & packaged or prepared at school. If you can help with snack donations or classroom set up, please me know. Questions? Email or send a note.

Sharing: 10/20: A mask, scarf or funny hat, 10/27: An instrument or a collection

Pumpkin Patch Field Trip Permission Form
On Wednesday, October 22, we plan to visit Wintergreen Farm in Noti. We will travel via 4J schoolbus and plan to leave school at 10:00 and return by 2:30. The children will tour the farm, ride in a hay wagon and choose a pumpkin to bring back to school. We’ll also enjoy lunch at the farm. Chris and Shannon tell me the pumpkins are extra big this year! Please send an appropriate lunch and an extra-strong, reusable bag that your student can use to carry their pumpkin. Rain gear (boots & jackets) may be necessary. Pumpkins will stay at school for a day or two so we can wash, weigh and measure them. Please send $7.00 for each bus rider. If the cost presents a hardship and you would like scholarship information, please call the office.
