The past few weeks…
We have covered a lot of ground over the past few weeks. We have been learning about the Mayan culture and about the process archeologists go through to crack old alphabets. This lesson in endurance is a principle worth remembering. Just stick with it, even when it gets difficult and frustrating!
As part of ecology we learned more about the rock cycle and the recycling of rock. We saw a video about the San Andreas Fault line to see how the earth grinds and wears things away.
We also looked at plants and the ingenious way they scatter seeds in an effort to take over the world. Mother Nature is absolutely fascinating.
We have created new research lists that will cover all the South American countries and the capital cities of the same. These presentations will be due the week of April the 8th. An information sheet will be coming home with your student next week.
We will start looking at the Moche culture of South America, plant parts and life cycles, and have some time to work on research projects. I anticipate the kids may be a little distracted next weekJ
