This week
This week we took a look at the fascinating Ottoman Empire. We really just scratched the surface and we will take a little more time studying this period in history before moving on to the religions and philosophies of Asia. We spent some time considering motherhood and what our mothers mean to us. Alas, sometimes we cannot see how much our mothers have given us until we are much older and have perspective on our side. Thank you to mothers everywhere! Where would we be without you? That’s a tricky question…

The staff has been surrounded by yummy treats, plants, teas, and the like this week. We thank you for your generosity and kindness. We really do feel appreciated!

Next week
Next week I plan on beginning our discussions about Eastern religions/philosophies. We will start with Hinduism and Taoism. The following week it will be Confucianism and Buddhism. If you are familiar with these subjects and would like to share your knowledge, please contact me.
