It feels like several weeks have gone by without me writing a proper Bear Brief. I was out of school for 6 days taking care of family business and then I was sick after that. Needless to say I have been a bit off center. I am sorry to have missed all the presentations, but I was impressed by all the poster boards I saw when I returned, and I can tell a lot of work went into the projects.
We have just scratched the surface in our studies of India, and I plan on doing more in the coming days as I begin feeling better and have energy to put into it. One of the things I would like to do is share a simple Indian meal with the students. This may be in class, or if I am successful at working something out with a restaurant we may eat off campus.
Coming next week we will look at erosion, more India work and music, and choose countries for our next presentations. We have the Project Fair next week as well. We don’t use the U of O science folks in our classroom, so anything a student wants to do for this Fair will need to be done at home by the student (with or without your help). By default, they have already created a display board about an Asian nation and that will be displayed in our Asia themed classroom. Perfect, as far as I’m concerned.
