We finally got to the pollination material I was hoping we could enjoy. I like those little flying friends because they make possible most of the food that ends up on my dinner plate, and yours too. We practiced some mindfulness to calm the energy flares that occurred throughout the week. I will be doing more of this in an effort to help the class relax and be more aware of themselves within the confines of our room.
Next week and beyond…
Next week we will finally get to the Great Barrier Reef material I was hoping to start this week. Sometimes the students have other plans and we make adjustments accordingly. As part of this study we will do some artwork related to the reef. This will take a few sessions to complete. We will also look at electricity. I’m pretty excited to teach this area of study. ‘Amped up’ you might say. Watt? You don’t like my jokes? Try this one.
Parent to child: “Sparky, your mother and I are shocked at your current behavior. Until you learn to conduct yourself properly, you’re grounded!” This comes courtesy of someone on Pinterest. Have a good one? Please share!
