About Ridgeline‎ > ‎

Ridgeline's Core Values

At Ridgeline Montessori Public Charter School we strive to create a more peaceful world by offering a cosmic education in which self-directed learning is experiential and authentic.

Our goal is to unlock human potential by guiding individuals to obtain independence in the physical, academic, social, emotional, and spiritual realms.

We create safe prepared environments that respect where each individual is along the developmental planes and can help each student reveal himself or herself. Our learning communities are guided by the principles of respect, integrity, observation, self-awareness, listening, inquiry, and reflection.

In our school, individuals are encouraged to develop positive self-discipline and a sense of accountability, experiencing liberty within limits, while learning to balance freedom and responsibility. Individuals are given the opportunity to become active contributing members of their communities and stewards of the planet, and to discover their own cosmic task.

A Rainbow of Inclusion and Diversity

Our school also holds inclusion as one of its core values. Ridgeline Montessori values diversity in its broadest form, including differences of race, ethnicity, nation of origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender, family configuration, physical and neurological qualities, and economic status.

Our diversity committee was created by the Ridgeline Community Organization (parent council) and holds monthly meetings.
