The Coming Week
For the last week of school, we are going to have a few more adventures and do some celebrating! Permission slips went home in early June for the events and are past due! On Monday, we will do an all day hike along the trail that shares a name with our school- Ridgeline Trail. We will start from the school, walk down to the end of the Rexius Trail where we can get on the trail, and then follow it up to the top of Spencer's Butte. On Tuesday, we will organize a Field Day for a few elementary classes and kindergarten as well as celebrate our own Graduation! Then on Wednesday, we have the annual Bike/Hike in Alton Baker Park. We are still looking for chaperones for this event, as on bikes, we tend to spread out into quite a large group.
Heroic Journey Rite of Pasage
Our ceremony at Tugman Park was sweet and moving. Thanks to all who attended and helped us offer our students this experience. A special thanks to Kelly for being an amazing human bubble machine!
Chaperones Needed
We do need some drivers and extra bodies for our last day of school field trip. We need parents who can bike or walk with groups of students, as well as help transport the walking group. Please contact us ASAP if you are available!
Graduation
The 8th grade graduation will take place on June 15th at 1:30 pm at the Willard cafeteria. The whole school will be there to eat lunch and then recognize our students who are moving on to the next stage of their education! Parents and community members are welcome so please come and join us. Dismissal will be at Willard that day, at 3:00.
Late Work
If your student has late work, they will be expected to attend Summer School- this can be avoided by turning in late work NOW!
Middle School Dance
There will be a “semi-formal” dance the evening of June 16, in the cafeteria at Willard. It will be a fun time to dress up and say goodbye for the summer. Hope to see you all there!
