Thanks to Debra and Margaret for listening to students read! We appreciate the literature donated by the Searl family which is now housed on the Physics and Chemistry shelves.

CURRICULUM UPDATE

History and art studies are from the ancient Egyptian civilization.. Students are exploring hieroglyphs with ideographic and phonemic symbols. Through art we are examining techniques of their painting. Students will do their first critical art analysis this year of Egyptian painting. Buoyancy will be the focus of physics experiments and observations. This follows notes taken covering history and principles of buoyancy. Writing studies continue as we work on perfecting the paragraph. Students are learning to construct paragraphs with title, main idea, support, interesting word choice, a summary as well as correct capitalization, punctuation, spelling and neat cursive.

COMING UP

We will go to Grassroots Garden December 16. A permission slip will come home in advance.
